AGON was retained as the hotel development and concept consultant for a 5-star, 300 room, hotel and condo development in the United Nations' World Heritage city of Lijiang, China.

AGON's initial role was to complete a business plan including detailed financial projections, facility programming advice, and construction and development budgets.

AGON also provided operation design briefs and management consulting advice for the future ongoing operations of the hotel. Based largely on AGON's early planning works, the hotel celebrated its Grand Opening on October 1, 2009 as the Crowne Plaza Hotel Lijiang Ancient City.
